OUR STORY
ABOUT US
As the largest not-for-profit hospice provider in Michigan, we offer comfort and peace for patients and their loved ones.
HISTORY
A Legacy of Caring
At Arbor Hospice, we believe no one should face the end of life alone. Everyone has the right to spend their final months free of physical, emotional and spiritual pain in an environment where they are most secure. By providing exceptional medical care to patients and expert caregiver support – delivered by capable, dedicated, compassionate professionals – we help families focus on what’s most important to them.
Arbor Hospice has been providing expert end-of-life-care since 1984, longer than anyone else in the community. If you would like to get to know us better, you can read about our purpose and culture, our leadership, our Boards and our role in the NorthStar Community, an affiliation of like-minded not-for-profit hospice providers with a relentless pursuit for quality.
Arbor Hospice provides care for all—regardless of age, diagnosis, or financial circumstances. Last year, our commitment extended $4 million beyond what was reimbursed by insurance. Because we welcome those who are uninsured, or whose treatment is more expensive than what other hospices can provide, we depend on the financial support of donors for the treatments, medications, services, grief support, and spiritual care of patients and families in need.
