WHAT: Join Arbor Hospice for the construction of the “Cadillac Quarter Mile,” a spectacular assembly of thousands of quarters forming an impressive pathway of coins to benefit the nonprofit’s Give a Quarter Back campaign.
Residents from across Wexford, Osceola and Missaukee Counties will see their donations forming the “quarter mile” around the track inside the Manton High School gym. Since Nov. 1, members of the community have been dropping their extra change into the nearly 200 canisters located at area businesses.
The total money raised since Nov. 1, along with the amount collected on Friday evening, will be announced at the game. Once the quarters are tallied, the “quarter mile” proceeds will go to support Arbor Hospice’s Open Access Fund, which provides end-of-life care to patients regardless of age, diagnosis or ability to pay.
